Once Loved Dog Rescue
Once Loved Dog Rescue, our sister site, was set up to help provide care, shelter and permanent homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs. We are run entirely voluntarily. The areas we cover are primarily East Devon and Somerset, as the rescue is based near Exeter, Devon. As we are a small rescue, we like to keep homes as local as possible for home checking purposes. We will, however, consider rehoming to other areas.
Foster carers are always needed.
All prospective homes will be required to have a pre-adoption home check and post home checks. You will also be required to sign an adoption agreement.
All dogs are neutered/speyed, vaccinated and micro-chipped before they are placed into new homes.

Posh Puss Rescue & Bully Befrienders Cornwall
Posh Puss rescue pedigree cats but they also rescue dogs, particularly bullie breeds. Their dog rescue site Bully Befrienders helps bull breed dogs in crisis by taking in, assessing and rehoming pound dogs facing euthenasia as well as dogs in generally vulnerable situations.

“Since the end of 2006 Dogs Friends have been receiving dogs for rehoming who might otherwise slip through the rescue net. Quite often these dogs are on the very brink of being put to sleep – not because they have done anything wrong, but because of a lack of alternative options. Dogs Friends is helped & supported by NASSL which is a registered charity.most of our dogs are in foster homes dotted around North Somerset, Clevedon, Cheddar, Yate, Dorset and Bristol. Unfortunately we don’t always have enough foster spaces to place dogs in, if this is the case they get boarded at our expense in Whitehouse kennels near Weston Super Mare. For some of these dogs it really is their last chance and so rather than turn them away to be put down, we hold them in kennels until we have a space with a fosterer for them. We also hold last chance dogs for CARA (please see links page) at the kennels. It is an expensive thing to do but we feel that the dogs lives are worth it. We can only pay for spaces for as long as we have funds to do so, which is why it is so important to us to keep fundraising etc. Every pound counts and every pound helps save the lives of dogs often rejected by other charities and organisations, dogs that really have no place left to go!”
