Bullies In Need
http://www.bulliesinneed.info/index.php
We are a group of bull terrier lovers who came together through the Bullie Bar forum, we started up the quarterly zine Bullie Run with the proceeds going to bull terrier related charities. It soon became obvious that there were more bull terriers needing help than we first realised, there wasn’t a week that went by without one of us discovering a bullie in a shelter somewhere across the UK. We were also aware that there are people who are looking to adopt an adult bullie, so it seemed the best thing would be to try to get the two together by attempting to co-ordinate available bullies and available homes. We are all volunteers, who do this in our spare time. we are not associated with any other club and this is funded entirely by donations and money raised through fund raising activities eg. sales of Bullie Run and other merchandise.
We do have contacts in most parts of the country.

Our aim is simple - to find needy dogs loving new forever homes. Our dogs are homeless through no fault of their own, they are abandoned, unwanted, or their owners are no longer able to care for them, we care for them until loving forever homes can be found.
Doris Banham Dog Rescue
Registered Charity Number 1103372
“The charity was set up to help all animals, but became increasingly aware of the heart-breaking, needless destruction of unclaimed dogs in dogs pounds. The charity has developed to provide an essential life saving rescue service for these forgotten dogs.
Doris Banham Dog Rescue is a non-profit organisation and rely totally on fund-raising and donations to save these animals.”
The charity saves hundreds of dogs on death row every month by finding rescue spaces in centres with a no destruction policy. The dogs are transported all over the UK by volunteers dedicated to getting the dogs to safety. If a rescue space cannot be found in time to save a dog’s life, the charity pays for the dog to go into temporary boarding until a rescue space or a new home is found.
There are currently 10 pages of dogs needing homes on the charity’s website, with a seemingly never ending list of more abandoned dogs facing death row.
